Are you struggling with:
- Unwanted hair?
- Dark, course hair
- Unsightly ingrowns after shaving/waxing
Frustrated with having to shave, wax or thread?
Laser Prowave for hair removal might be your answer …..
How does laser hair removal work:
An intense, pulsating beam of light that will pass through the skin to the hair follicle. The intense heat of the laser damages the hair follicle, which inhibits future hair growth.
In order for the laser hair removal to be effective, the hair must have pigment; therefore people with blond or grey hair will not be suitable candidates for this treatment.
Although laser hair removal effectively slows hair growth, it doesn’t guarantee permanent hair removal. Multiple treatments – 6 to 8 – is required to provide an extended hair-free period.
In some instances, maintenance treatments might be needed
Preparation for laser hair removal
Avoid plucking, threading or waxing for at least 6 weeks prior to undergoing laser hair removal.
Refrain from tanning or using sunless tanning lotions for at least 2 weeks before your laser hair removal appointment. Apply a good quality sunscreen to the areas affected, if you do need to spend time outdoors.
Shave the area that will be treated beforehand. Usually a day or two before the appointment; the hair should be visible, just breaking through the skin.
Ensure the skin at the treatment site is free of cosmetics, lotions and creams. Deodorant, it will be removed prior to treatment.
Wear clothing that will leave the treated area exposed or is loose fitting. Tight or abrasive clothing will feel uncomfortable as the skin may be sensitive after treatment.
